New feature in Windows XP is Prefetch. This keeps a shortcut to recently used programs in your Hard disk it can make junk file in your PC clean up this and boost your PC It can fill up with old and obsolete programs.
So clean this once a week go to:
Click on Start go to run in run prompt write Prefetch > clik on ok
- Press Ctrl-A to select all the file
- Delete them
