How to disable startup program ?

How do I disable some of my Startup programs?

At the time of starting your computer, many applications might load at startup, some may not be required at all.

Here we can use Windows startup managing utility called MSCONFIG, using which you can disable startup applications. This is also called System Configuration Utility. To access MSCONFIG, try these steps:

1. Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG
2. Click Startup tab and view the listings there
3. Uncheck the corresponding entry for the application which you want to disable from startup
4. Click OK
Your will be asked to restart your computer you may choose now or later


* Plz note that after restart you will be shown a dialog box just tick on don't show this message again and click ok.

Enable your Quick Launch Toolbar In xp

Quick Launch is for opening any program just click on Taskbar here the tips How to enable Quick Launch Toolbar. We can enable this by 2 way

1. Go to start and Right click on it
2. Select the Taskbar tab
3. Put Tick on Show Quick Launch

1. Go down to taskbar and right click on it
2. Choose Toolbar and select Quick Launch

The Quick launch toolbar will appear in the taskbar.

How to create customize or own shortcut ?
Choose a shortcut of a program which you want to open by shortcut

  1. Then right click on it to bring up a menu

  2. select Properties.

  3. Find the shortcut key box.

  4. Type any value like "K" , other will be filled automatically

  5. Choose apply and ok.

  6. If I press Ctrl + Alt + K this program will start.

How to create Shutdown, Restart Shorcut

Suppose we want to create this shortcut on desktop as usually any body create shortcut on desktop
  1. Right Click on blank desktop

  2. Right click on a blank space and a menu will appear

  3. Choose New from the menu

  4. Then choose Shortcut

  5. Where it says type the location of the item type in shutdown.exe -s

  6. Then press on next button

  7. Now enter a name for your icon. such as only Shutdown

  8. Press next

  9. The Shutdown shortcut will be appeared on your desktop

  10. Click on this shortcut ............................ and see what is happened.
No come that how we can make restart
If you can make successfully Shutdown shortcut then you can easily restart shortcut just go to no.5 point and see that here we using shutdown.exe-s (-s) is a parameter which means your Computer will be shutdown within 30 seconds just put -r instead of -s then this will work as restart for your easy understand I m giving you the procedure below:
